A thank you from Jolyon Maugham

None of us could have imagined what 2020 would bring.

Back in March when the pandemic first hit the UK, we knew Good Law Project had a role to play.

At the start of the pandemic, as the footage rolled in of frontline workers risking their lives without proper PPE, we launched action to force Government to hold an urgent public inquiry into its failings. The families of those who died deserve justice.

The National Audit Office has now backed our demand and our litigation continues.

Back in June, we caught wind of PPE contracts worth hundreds of millions of pounds going to the weirdest counterparties – a pest control company, a confectioner, a family hedge fund, a jeweller in Florida. And we uncovered backdoor VIP channels, which enabled those with political connections to win hugely lucrative public contracts.

We are holding Government to account in the courts – and through our work, the scandal has caught the eyes of the world.

Your support has meant we can bring this to light. Thank you so much. We could not have done it without you.

We hope you are as proud as we are of everything we have achieved together this year:

Who knows what 2021 will bring. But we do know that with your support, Good Law Project will be here to continue the fight.
From all of us at Good Law Project, we hope you have a restful break and a happy new year.

It is only with your support that we can continue to hold Government to account. If you would like to make a donation, or join our mailing list, you can do so here.
