Google and Apple must stop making cash out of conning kids Add your name if you agree

Campaign overview

App stores are raking it in by tricking children and parents over age ratings. The number they show at the top of the page often has nothing to do with the number hidden away in the small print that determines how they harvest data and serve hyper-targeted ads.

So an app that’s supposed to be safe for younger kids could wind up putting them in the firing line of ads and paid content aimed at much older children and adults.
