The BBC is reeling after a rightwing campaign has claimed the broadcaster is biased against Donald Trump and towards trans people. But the community most affected by its reporting on trans issues sees BBC News as “hostile”. And when we offered an exclusive on a poll showing how the media has failed the trans community, it refused to cover it. With trans people under attack as never before, it’s time for the BBC to deliver on its duty to be impartial.
