MPs must be able to scrutinise the Government during this emergency

The decisions being taken by the Government during this crisis affect all of our lives. Our MPs need to be able to scrutinise what the government is doing, whether that’s holding them to account on the lack of protective equipment for NHS staff, or pushing for better support for the self-employed.

If MPs are going to perform this crucial role, they have to be able to do so safely. Parliamentary scrutiny needs to be able to happen, and that needs to happen quickly.
