Who are we?

We are Good Law Project.

We are collecting data for a survey to better understand your political outlook, what you think are the biggest challenges that the country is facing right now, and your hopes for Good Law Project.

What data do we collect?

Personal information, such as:

  • name
  • email address
  • age
  • gender
  • income
  • ethnicity
  • special category data like political opinions.

We are also collecting information about how you feel about Good Law Project, our work, and how we communicate with you.

How do we use your information?

We may use this information to:

  • Share your views or selected quotes from your answers  (with your first name/initials) directly on our website, on our social media channels, such as Meta, Instagram, X, TikTok, and in future emails to our supporters.
  • We may share this information in future with media or other third parties, such as politicians in briefings.

Who provides us with this information and when?

We collect your data through online surveys. These surveys will be either:

  • emailed to supporters who have given consent to receive email updates from Good Law Project;
  • or shared on our website and/or on social media, with supporters who follow or otherwise engage with Good Law Project on these channels.

What is our lawful basis?

When processing your data, we rely on your consent. To process special category data, such as political opinions, we also rely on Article 9(2)(d). This means that we are processing data to inform our work and allow us to develop and run impactful legal campaigns that are aligned with our supporters’ priorities.

For how long do we keep your data?

We will keep your data for 6 years from the date you fill out this survey.
