Three claimants – supported by Good Law Project – have applied to the Court of Appeal for permission to appeal the High Court’s decision on the lawfulness of the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s interim guidance.
The High Court denied them permission to appeal (PDF) – a decision made by the same judge who originally decided the case. We expected to be refused permission at this stage.
The claimants have now applied to the Court of Appeal – on the same five grounds for which we originally applied to the High Court.
They’ve submitted their grounds of appeal (PDF) and their skeleton argument (PDF). We’re still waiting to hear back about our appeal on standing.
The claimants are represented by Leigh Day solicitors and a team of five barristers, led by Daniel Stilitz KC.
