About the Role

We’re looking for a Policy Advisor to the Executive Director who can support Good Law Project to identify new programme and campaign opportunities. This is a new role, ideal for somebody with a start-up mentality who wants to help Good Law Project develop and diversify its work and is keen to learn and experiment.

What we’re looking for:

  • you should be a creative, strategic thinker, comfortable analysing data and with an understanding of the British political landscape – able to help spot and develop interventions which can inspire Good Law Project’s supporters and influence the public and decision makers
  • with excellent research skills, curiosity and knowledgeable about what is going on in the wider world – you will be able to bring together analysis of what a problem is, who else is working on it and whether and how Good Law Project’s intervention can make a tangible difference
  • you will thrive working in a fast-paced environment, be relaxed about meeting sometimes tight deadlines and enjoy having a varied portfolio of work. Driven to help good ideas get off the ground, you will also have the skills to help think through their early-stage operationalisation – and then be prepared to work with or hand on projects to others for their detailed delivery.
  • you will be confident providing advice to senior colleagues, helping the decision-making process as new ideas are developed, tested and Good Law Project decides whether they should be taken forward
  • you will be a champion for Good Law Project’s values and be passionate about a better, fairer and greener world
