Good Law Project’s mission is to achieve change through the law. We defend, define and change the law to protect the environment, uphold democracy, and ensure no one is left behind. We are committed to holding Government and other powerful actors to account and to tackling issues of injustice, inequality and discrimination experienced by some of the most marginalised groups in our society.

But securing change takes more than wins in Court. We need to take Good Law Project’s messages to new audiences and motivate our existing supporters to take action.

We’re looking for a Video and Multimedia Producer to help us do that; someone comfortable working in a fast-paced audiovisual role who will help our organisation to meet its important aims.

You will report to the Editorial Lead. You can see how the role fits into the current Good Law Project team at the end of the job pack

Salary: £35,000 per annum with generous benefits, including enhanced pension contribution and 25 days holiday plus public holidays

Hours: 35 hours per week over 5 days, with some flexibility on distribution of hours

Contract type: fixed-term: 12 months in the first instance with the possibility of a permanent role

Duties and key responsibilities

  • Lead on the production and delivery of video content for our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
  • Responsible for organising location shoots and filming general footage, interviews and other pieces as needed
  • Responsible for editing all video and audio content as needed by the organisation
  • Driving audiovisual strategy, leading creative processes to generate concepts for campaigns
  • Stay on top of emerging trends in video and identify how Good Law Project can capitalise on these trends in order to meet our goals
  • Work with freelancers, agencies, and partners where necessary to deliver compelling video content

Experience and attributes


  • Track record of producing video content that reaches new audiences and moves people to action
  • Experience of camera operation, lighting, and audio recording
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition and After Effects, or similar professional video editing software
  • Thorough understanding of different social media platforms and how to tailor content for each platform, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, and TikTok
  • Knowledge and understanding of effective storytelling and online campaigning techniques
  • Track record of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment – alongside excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to contribute to the full creative process; planning, filming, and editing content
  • Commitment to a high standard of professional behaviour, including collaboration, honesty, and integrity
  • Flexibility and adaptability in attitude and approach to work, with a willingness to ‘muck in’ and support the team with whatever might arise, working towards a common objective
  • Good Law Project does not require specific qualifications for this position – as long as your experience speaks to the requirements of the role, we want to hear from you


  • Experience in producing or working on podcasts
  • Experience in recording and editing live-streamed events
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator and/or motion graphics production
  • Knowledge of UK politics
  • An interest in new audiovisual innovations
