View our privacy policyFirms who advertise on GB News are paying for a channel built on hatred. It’s time for companies to pick a side – hate or Pride.
Pride month is around the corner – that special time of year when we come together to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community. And when companies stick a rainbow in their logos.
But some firms who have supported Pride are also advertising on GB News’ website and YouTube channel – a toxic media platform that repeatedly attacks LGBTQ+ people.
It’s a list that spans the range from fixtures on the high street to tech titans: Adobe, Burberry, KLM, Listerine, Nissan, Radisson Hotels, SoundCloud, Squarespace, Trainline and VistaPrint.
Hard-won rights for LGBTQ+ people are under attack across the world and right here in the UK. So performative support is not enough. If you really support LGBTQ+ rights, you can’t fund homophobic and transphobic hate. It’s that simple.
Maybe these firms had no idea they were paying for ads on GB News. But when you know, you know.
We’re teaming up with Stop Funding Hate to make these companies pull their ads from a TV channel that fuels division. As Pride comes along, we can all come together so that support for Pride means something real.
It takes more to be an LGBTQ+ ally than posting a rainbow emoji on your Instagram.
